The habit of the siesta is a healthy habit, since the brain requires a brief pause after noon to continue coordinating and maintaining attention.

If the benefits of napping, safe, should take into account some aspects:

-The nap can be practiced by everyone it sees fit, but no more than half an hour. Exceed 40 minute nap distorts the positive effects of this habit, and also alters the sleep cycle at night.

-The rest of the afternoon is especially beneficial for babies and children.

-To stand better a comfortable sofa or chair instead of the bed, thus ensuring a duration closest to the ideal.

-Pregnant women may resort to this habit without any problems or special instructions.
